Dear Supportive Parent,
Do you worry about your teenager's academic, financial, and professional future?
Are you concerned that your child's chances to enjoy a successful and rewarding career, get into their course of first preference, or attend the BEST university, will be damaged -- even RUINED -- due to average, low, or failing grades on the HSC exams?
Even worse, do you feel POWERLESS to help them succeed with their exams yourself?
I don't blame you for being anxious...
There are all KINDS of stories out there of bright, hardworking
students who missed out on the career of their dreams -- or ended up studying
a course at uni they didn't want to -- all because they were a scant 0.05
short on their final UAI.
And to make matters worse, no matter HOW well students understand the subject matter for the exam, and no matter HOW hard they study, that STILL won't guarantee success.
That's because taking the exam is a skill in itself (and unfortunately NOT one that is taught adequately in schools, if at all)...
... so for any student who doesn't understand how to craft a winning answer, or know how to consistently give the kinds of responses the examiners are looking for for EVERY section of EVERY subject, the HSC can be a real challenge!
So if YOU want to ensure YOUR teenager has the BEST
chance of success with their HSC, I'd like to help!
On 27 and 28 September, 2008, I'll be holding a two-day "HSC Intensive Training
Summit" at The University of Technology, Sydney...
... where I, and 17 of the state's most successful HSC candidates from EVERY major subject area, will be sharing the EXACT study and exam-taking secrets we've used to land in the TOP TEN of the HSC state rankings!
"I Ranked In The Top 0.1% On My HSC Exams
(And That's Out of 66,768 Students) ...
... So I'm Pretty Sure I Can Help YOUR Child Succeed!"
Hello, my name is Louisa Khong, and I'm a successful HSC candidate with TOP rankings in NSW.
I sat for the HSC exams in 1999, where I
received a UAI of 99.90.
I was also in the top 0.1% of the state (that's the top 76 out of 66,768 candidates) and easily made it onto the All Rounders List.
Additionally, my LOWEST mark for any subject was 92% and my HIGHEST mark was 100% (which I earned for TWO different subjects!)
And thanks to my remarkable achievement with the exams, I was recruited by PricewaterhouseCoopers, one of the world's TOP accounting firms, straight out of high school!
I've also published a book of study strategies for high school leaving-exam candidates, called "Top Study Secrets," which has been helping other students achieve exam results similar to mine.
And thanks to book and training sessions, DOZENS of students have ALREADY learned the exact, step-by-step system they need to follow to successfully sit these critical exams.
"Read Stories Of Just A Few Of The Students
I've Helped Prepare To ACE The HSC Exams!"
She now
understands the entire study process...
"A big help, seeing former students who have recently been through the
HSC and talking to them, getting their study tips and ideas gave me a
broader outlook on the whole ordeal.
English was a great help to me
and by far the best by a long run. It wasn't just past papers, as they
can be done at home and with tutors."
Hayley Edwards,
Tweed River High School, Tweed Heads |
She appreciated the useful study hints...
"Really, really good, definitely beneficial with really useful hints
to study and tackle the whole HSC."
Leah
Williams,
Kinross Wolaroi, Orange |
He was inspired by past HSC students...
"Great. So happy I came. Thanks to Louisa for the organisation and the
students who lectured. What I liked most was the inspiration that past HSC students have provided. It was very helpful, and I'd recommend this to any other student."
Simon Thompson,
Tweed River High School, Tweed Heads |
She was thankful for the information...
"Awesome, learnt a lot and thankful I found out about it. The
lecturers were great, having very good advice."
Sheena S. Raniga,
Casula High School |

People Always Ask Me... "What's Your Secret"?
Whenever people find out how well I performed on the HSC exams, they always have the same questions...
"Do I have an exceptionally high IQ?" "Do I have a photographic memory?" "Did I spend hour after hour chained to my desk studying? "
And I always tell them the same thing:
The truth is, I was taught by the BEST!
I sought out the BEST teachers in the state, and the best students from the year before.
They cost my parents over $10,000, but they cut through all of the clutter, and showed me crucial, key strategies that most students don't know about (with the exception of the TOP student mentors I'll introduce you to in a minute)...
First, I learned that HOW you study is more important than WHAT you study.
And by that, I mean that I trained myself to study "smarter," and be MORE productive, even while spending LESS time at my desk.
In fact, even after I finished my HSC exams, this approach STILL worked for me!
I was actually able to go to university full-time to complete the degree of my choice, while also working FULL TIME, thanks to this effective study system that I developed during my HSC preparation...
... and I'm pleased to say I graduated with a "Distinction" average.
The second thing I learned about taking the HSC exams was that there's a "science" to writing the exam answers.
In other words, a student's knowledge is measured by how well they can communicate in the exam room, so I learned the process of turning a good exam answer into an EXCELLENT one.
After having success with this strategy for myself, I tested it on my boyfriend's sisters, to see if it could work for others. I spent some time teaching them how to write strong answers -- and spent NO time looking at the actual content -- and their grades still went up by HUGE margins!
"Announcing My Upcoming Intensive 2-Day
'HSC Intensive Training
Summit'
in Sydney...
... For Students Preparing For The HSC Exams"
And now, I'd like to help YOUR child enjoy the same success on the HSC exams that I did, by teaching them the very same secrets for studying smarter and communicating effectively in the exam that I discovered for myself.
During this intensive 2-day workshop, students will discover how to...
| >> |
Create top-notch answers for EVERY section of EVERY major subject they take |
| >> |
Spend study time effectively, to learn and retain more, in less time |
| >> |
Avoid common mistakes many students make, just because they aren't aware of them |
| >> |
Stop procrastinating! |
But that's just for starters...
... because students will ALSO have the opportunity to "pick the brains" of the state's TOP ranking HSC candidates from 2007, and find out EXACTLY what they did to achieve their incredible results.
I've hand-picked this group of HSC candidates, not only because they've achieved remarkable results with their exams, but because they, like me, have developed special study and preparation strategies that they've used to do it...
... and they're ready to share them ALL!
Are You Unable To Help Your Child Yourself?
Here's Why That's Perfectly NORMAL!
Now before we go any further, there's something you should know...
Parents frequently contact me to discuss helping their teenagers prepare for the HSC exams, and almost ALL of them confide that they'd prefer to do it themselves, but feel their own education is too limited to be of much use.
So if YOU are one of those parents who feels embarrassed or inadequate because you can't help your children prepare for these critical exams, let me assure you that not only is it NORMAL for adults to be UNABLE to help their teenagers prepare...
... I'd actually be a little surprised if you COULD help! Here's why...
See, a big part of getting an education involves memorization and repetition. Students spend hours each day going over the same information, drilling the same facts and details into their heads, studying the same formulas, and so on.
So everything they're learning right now is fresh in their minds, and right there when they need to recall it
Meanwhile, you've long since left school, and turned your mind to your job, your family, current events, and the million other crucial details that require your undivided attention every day.
So of COURSE your children can recall geography, maths, and history details on the spot, while you struggle just to remember the BASICS you learned back in school!
Ever wondered why the adults on the quiz show "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?" so frequently LOSE to their 11-year-old competitors? Well, that's why!
Don't make the common mistake of sending your child to the HSC exams unprepared because you were too embarrassed to ask for help!
"So What Makes My Exam Preparation Summit Different
From
All Of The Other Options Out There, Anyway?"
Now I know you've likely seen lots of ads for many of the "other" training seminars out there, so at this point, you're probably wondering what makes mine any different...
Well, the thing is, this isn't like all of those other training sessions!
See, with most regular HSC preparation programs, the classes are taught by teachers, NOT students!
And that means that the focus is exclusively on the actual course content, rather than on the exams themselves.
Wouldn't it be better if the training and advice came from the people who actually successfully took the exams, understand how to craft winning exam answers, and have clearly developed study strategies that earned them TOP grades?
But not only that, the other preparation courses only focus on a single subject area. To get all the necessary training, you need to take multiple courses -- taking up a lot of time, and MONEY.
Of course, there are exam preparation programs out there that do offer student tutors, but the truth is, the quality of the instruction is not consistent. Sometimes you'll get a great tutor, and sometimes you'll get one who's not up to the task.
Why take a chance?
And if you think that studying hard on your own is enough to get anyone through -- along with what you learn about the exams in school -- think again! What you need to know to succeed on the HSC exams simply isn't taught adequately in schools!
My "HSC Intensive Training Summit" is the ONLY exam preparation program where participants get one-on-one access to HSC exam candidates who finished TOPS in their subjects, so you know there will be quality instruction combined with real insight.
Plus, EVERY major subject is represented!
I've recruited a top-ranking expert from each of the 17
subject areas to attend the two-day Summit, and answer ALL attendees'
questions.
"Read Even MORE Reviews From Students Who
Have
Found Our Sessions To Be Invaluable"
He appreciated the high quality presenters...
"I thought the HSC Intensive Summit was an extremely useful idea and I
would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. I believe that it will help
me in my quest to get a high and quality UAI. I liked how high quality the presenters were and how informative they were."
Luke Hammond,
Tweed River High School, Tweed Heads |
She had ALL of her exam questions answered...
"It was rewarding. There were pointers that I appreciated and it made me think towards the closer moments of the exams with the three letters I have grown to despise hearing.
I enjoyed the people that
came and spoke to us, they knew what they were talking about and
answered all questions well."
Elissia Beard,
Pennant Hills High School |
He liked that the presenters knew
how to relate to him...
"It was great. The organisation, topics, information was best! People
who spoke to us were friendly, co-operative. Everything was great. The
people were not much older than us and knew how to talk to us. Also, the work they put into giving/making the notes for us was great."
Alex
Wong,
Chatswood High School |
She enjoyed learning from people her age...
"I really enjoyed it and it's good to learn from people our age who
have just done their HSC."

Morisset High School, Hunter/Central Coast Region |

Here's Everything You Get During The
Intensive,
Two-Day Summit...
On Saturday, September 27,
I'll be asking everyone to be in their seats by 9 a.m. SHARP, as we'll
have a LOT of ground to cover...
... and I want to make sure that not one second of time with me is wasted.
So just as soon as I have everyone in their seats, I'll launch into...
Session #1
"HSC Study Secrets"
We'll kick off the first morning together with a workshop based on my HSC training program, "Top Study Secrets."
I'll walk students through the exact system I developed
that allowed me to spend LESS time studying, while learning more productively, and earn a UAI of 99.90. I'll also reveal my personal secrets
for studying just prior to, and during the HSC!
Then, I'll be answering the questions that students
really ask, like "What is the best way to
study with only a few weeks to go?" and "Should
I be reviewing what I learned at school, or doing practice
questions?"
Session #2
"English - Standard, Advanced & Extension,
ESL" After a morning break, we'll
split into three groups: English as a Second Language
(ESL), Standard, and Advanced/Extension English sessions.
Students studying the Advanced
and Extension English courses will workshop with Jacques
McElhone, 4th in NSW in 2007 for English Extension 2,
for a full one-and-a-half hours. At the same time, students
studying Standard English will workshop with Marianne
Fidel, 5th in NSW for Standard English in 2007.
ESL, often left out of other HSC workshops, is included. Sessions will focus on how
to construct a top-notch answer in each of the sections
of each paper. You'll literally be able
to get inside these students' heads, and see how they
think through constructing essays under pressure with
the clock ticking in the exam room.
Sessions #3 and
#4
"Subject Electives 1 & 2" Because you need
EACH subject to be strong when you do the HSC
-- not just one or two -- we'll wrap up our first day
together in small group workshops, covering two HSC
subjects of the attendee's choice. Workshops running this afternoon
include:
| Ancient History |
Modern History |
| Biology |
Personal Development, Health
and PE |
| Business Studies |
Physics |
| Chemistry |
Software Design & Development |
| Economics |
Studies of Religion |
| Geography |
Visual Arts |
| Legal Studies |
|
Session #5
"Answers To Your Questions With The Top Candidates" On Sunday, September
28th, we'll resume at 9 a.m. sharp with Kaivan
Vaidya, UAI 100, and Roger Sejas, UAI
99.85. Kaivan and Roger prepared very differently
for their HSC. Hear how Roger only did most of his study
after the trials, and the secret to why he did so well. Attendees also have an opportunity
to ask these mentors questions they have about the exams,
including personal study programs, preparation in these
crucial weeks, how to deal with the pressure, and how
to find motivation.
Session #6
"General, Advanced and Extension Maths" Following a short break,
we'll begin working on Maths..
Extension 2 students will
get shown what to do if you get stuck and don't know
how to answer a question you get, and how you can save
time on the easy questions so you have more time for
the ones that stump you by Sunny Wang, 9th in
NSW for 2007 Mathematics Extension 2, and 5th
in the state for 2007 Mathematics Extension 1. Meanwhile, Maths and Maths Extension
1 students will do the same with Kaivan Vaidya,
10th in NSW for 2005 Mathematics, 99 for 2006 Mathematics
Extension 1, 99 for 2006 Mathematics Extension
1, 99 for 2006 Mathematics Extension 2 and UAI 100. General Maths, another subject
often left out of other HSC holiday workshops, is alsoincluded,
so you can make it scale well for you.
Session #7
"Subject Elective 3"
Our final session will be an opportunity for attendees to cover off, in detail, one more subject they're doing for the 2008 HSC.
Students can select from:
| Ancient History |
Modern History |
| Biology |
Personal Development, Health
and PE |
| Business Studies |
Physics |

Can You Afford NOT To Send Your Child?
What's it worth to you to have complete peace of mind, knowing that your child will have the BEST opportunities as he or she begins their adult life?
Of never having to worry whether they'll be
financially secure and independent? Or whether they'll get into
the "right" university? Or that they'll have rewarding
careers?
If you signed up for a typical
exam preparation course (presented by teachers, not by students
who have actually taken the exams), you could pay upwards
of $495.
And if you met with these top students
once-off, privately for three hours, you would expect to pay
at least $120, and to do it for five separate subjects
would cost $600.
Of course, you could try to help your child with the exam prep, but just think about the countless hours you'd have to devote just getting yourself up to speed on the subject matter... never mind the MANY additional hours you'd then have to spend working with your child!
That's why I'm sure you'll agree
that the $295 price tag (Australian dollars)
I've put on the ENTIRE weekend is more than fair, when you
consider everything you're getting (and a LOT less than my
parents spent for me to be guided by the previous year's top
students).
My Ironclad Guarantee
I'm so confident that my 2-Day HSC Intensive Training Summit will help your child do better in the HSC exams, and pave the way to a better future, that I'm offering you an unconditional moneyback guarantee...
If, after the first day of the Summit, you
or your child don't feel I'm delivering the benefits that I've outlined
here, just quietly tell one of my registration staff, turn in your notes
and name tag, and I'll refund your money, no questions asked.
You've got nothing to lose, and SO much to gain!
